Running in his first Turkey Trot, University at Albany graduate and track and field assistant coach Ricardo Estrema won the 10K road race in 31 minutes and 51 seconds, beating out his friend and rival Jaime Julia, who finished four seconds later. As an athlete at UAlbany, Estrema earned All-American honors and posted the school record in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. Both Estrema and Julia are natives of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
