For the first time in school history, the University at Albany will be represented at the NCAA Division I Cross Country National Championship. Silvia Del Fava, from the UAlbany women's team, will make the trip to Terre Haute, Indiana, to compete in the national championship race on Saturday. The men's and women's fields will each feature 31 teams of seven and an additional 38 individual competitors, for a final tally of 255 total runners in each race. Indiana State University plays host to the festivities this weekend, holding the race on the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.
